Random Thoughts
I want to write a fabulous, cohesive entry that encompasses my life for the last 4-6 months... but my brain says no. So here are some random thoughts.
The upshot of this is that, whilst I said that I would never step foot in a University again, I may do the dreaded and do a PGCE. Dependant upon variables, like, if I can afford it, if I get a place, if I still want to do it in September which is the next time I can apply. I’m still very tentative at the moment, but I think this could be It.
Currently watching
Torchwood Yummy boys, cute girls, big cars, big guns, scary aliens, what more could a girl want? And geek!Owen? the. cutest. thing. ever. They totally redeemed that character in about, mm, three episodes for me. Also, season two OWNS season one big time.
Ashes to Ashes This has my love simply for the fact I watched DVDs of Life on Mars so I would be able to watch this. And discovered LOM is the most brilliant thing in the world. Am also enjoying A2A but I miss Sam :( Incidentally, it is somewhat disturbing to see a menacing clown guy whispering my name out of the TV screen. Test Card Girl still beats Creepy Clown guy though (do these characters have official names/designations I wonder?)
Lewis How did they manage to make Morse without Morse? Genius! I adore Hathaway.
Should I be worried that all three shows are spin-offs?!
I just went on TIB
for the first time in months, opened a random thread, and didn't recognize any of the posters. It was like the Twilight Zone. I used to spend hours on there. I do feel sad I don't spend much time with my Blythes anymore though. Hopefully with the light improving I will be more inspired to take photos.
Disneyland
Am seriously obsessed with going to Disneyland Resort Paris. I went once, for a day, ten years ago this summer. I've got it into my head I'm going to go again this summer, so I'm going to try my hardest to make it happen. I love Disney so much it's like a sickness! I've got my whole trip planned and everything. I have a whole folder in my bookmarks just for DLRP sites. I went to Borders at the weekend just to get a new guidebook that's out. See? Sick I tell you.
Digital Scrapbooking
My mother is a fan of scrapbooking, but I just think it is so messy and expensive. But lo and behold, I've discovered the world of digital scrapbooking. I love it! no mess, little cost, and I get to geek out at my computer for hours without parental disapproval! Score! I can't say I'm particularly good at it yet, but I enjoy it and that is all that matters to me :)
Anyway, rambling is over for today. Toodles! :)
Comments
I didn't see any of Life on Mars except for the final one but Darren wants the dvds for his birthday so I'll get to watch them then. I like to call the clown creepydavidbowieclown. It really freaks me out seen as I hate clowns. I love that Stephen Campbell Moore is in it. Again, I was fangirl squeeing when he was on it last week!
Good for you at the school. I loved working at the school I was at and if I'd had been supported more when I became ill I certainly would never have left. After working there for a year I was given a job at the newly opened nursery with a senior member of staff and I loved teaching the little ones songs about the alphabet and numbers. I think if you get in the right place and work with the right people it can be so rewarding. It was like that for me at the beginning but my boss left and our new one had only ever worked in private nurseries and she was just rubbish at her job. I know my old boss would've supported me and eased me back into work but the new one just didn't care. I miss the kids and the activities but I certainly don't miss the adults.
I haven't done anything with my Blythes or been to the TIB in ages! I think I may actually sell the bulk of my collection soon. Although some will stay becuase I love them so.
I don't think we're getting Torchwood here yet,and I keep missing Life on Mars grrr.... so much TV so little time :P I'll have to keep my eyes open. I like seeing things from the beginning so often I have to wait till they repeat.
I love Disney too, I want to take my kids to Florida . We'll see
again glad to see you back and happy!
I love Doctor Who. I find David a tad annoying and shout-y at times but I do like Ten. I thought Chris did a fab job as Nine and could of watched another season of him (although without Rose, I do hate her with a passion and I fear I will not like her episodes when she comes back *shudder*).
I adore Classic Who too (I started watching when Peter Davidson was The Doctor) but love Tom Baker's Doctor too and Romana. *rambles*
My John Simm love applies to him as the Master too, I wish they'd bring him back in that reincarnation. He was campily manically perfect.
Yeah, I saw a brief bit of A2A episode two on iPlayer (the Delorean!) and took an instant dislike to Alex as well, she seems too blasé about the whole thing - the Test Card Girl owns that stupid clown though.
Sorry people *rolls up sleeves* Harry Potter is important godammit! Anyone who disagrees will get detention with out favourite black hearted potions master *glee*.
Yep I love Blythe and the whole kawaii-ness of her and everything about her world but you get the feeling that a lot of TIBers are just in a massive competition and care nothing about the actual dolls. *hugs KBs tight*
I finished watching (finally) the rest of LOM last night. I still feel quite emotional. I just adore Sam. I think I'll get the DVDs as I the copy I recorded off BBC4 wasn't perfect.
Yeah being very old (read born in Nov 1973) I had Five as my first proper Doctor (I just about remember the end of Four but I lived abroad until the late 70s / early 80s). I thought Peter Davidson was scrummy. Eight was also very fanciable, it's a pity he never did proper Who on the telly only the awful TV movie. But there are heaps of Eight books and audio.
I have all of Four and Five eps downloaded (plus the Five Doctors ep) if you want a DVD in the post... *nudge wink*
